John Legend is a twelve-time Grammy-winning R&B singer, songwriter, and producer who has released a string of hits for over two decades. He enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia at the age of 16, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis on African American literature. After two independent albums, John Legend joined Kanye West’s GOOD Music, releasing his Get Lifted album, debuting at number 7 on the US Billboard 200, selling 116,000 copies in its first week.
