Minds Matter Southern California engaged L.E.K. Consulting to help develop a growth and sustainability strategy for facilitating organizational development and partnership strategies for engaging more effectively with corporate, nonprofit, and local government entities.
Minds Matter Southern California is a non-profit organization supporting under-served youth with the resources and guidance needed to gain admission, enroll, and succeed at four-year universities and beyond.
L.E.K. Consulting developed an organizational and partnership strategy exploring how to allocate Minds Matter SoCal’s staff and volunteers to the most relevant roles and responsibilities, arrange functions and responsibilities, and prioritize expansion. L.E.K. first identified Minds Matter’s key value propositions to develop the partnership strategy and prioritized engagement with prospective partners.
The project enables Minds Matter SoCal to better serve the local community by improving volunteer retention and engagement, expanding student recruitment, and laying the groundwork for establishing corporate, local government, and non-profit partnerships.
When we started the project, I thought I had an idea as to what the final output would be, but I was totally surprised by the L.E.K. team. They built us decision-making tools that not only helped us think through challenges in the Southern California chapter, but I was able to share with other chapters also working through growth. The tools are dynamic and will serve us well for years to come.
